It’s always a confusing thing when you hear “Playboy Cover” and “man” in the same
sentence. While plenty of female celebrities have bared it all for the men’s magazine in recent years (a la Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, etc), Bruno Mars is the first man to be on the cover in a few years– following Seth Rogen in 2009.
Woke up this mornin feelin like a playboy ;)

Bruno Mars
Bruno Mars not only accomplishes that feat, but he is actually only the 10th man ever to land a Playboy cover. The Doo Wop singer dons his own clothing on the cover (Marc Jacobs inside) and a guitar on the front page where a clothed Raquel Pomplun poses like a crab right in front of him.
Mars has even got a little bit of his own spread on the inner pages of the magazine, talking men’s fashion and his style influences in his life and career. Majority of it comes from that Doo Wop era that he emulates in his hair, music and personal flair.
THR notes the other men to grace the cover of the Gentleman’s magazine, “Peter Sellers was the first Y-chromosome to appear on the cover back in April 1967, followed by Burt Reynolds (October 1979), Steve Martin (January 1980), Donald Trump(March 1990), Dan Aykroyd (August 1993), Jerry Seinfeld (October 1993), Leslie Nielson(February 1996), Gene Simmons (March 1999) and Seth Rogen (April 2009).”
