pondering opportunities of just which lucky leading lady might get the part once it comes time to audition and pick just one.
Though Willow Smith has been named as a great candidate to play a young Whitney, there are plenty of stars lining up to play the singer in her later years. Especially someone like Rihanna, who is just getting her acting chops wet.
“My first song that I remember falling in love with was a Whitney Houston song: ‘I Will Always Love You,’ it was really inspiring, and it made me develop a passion for music, so really, she’s partly responsible for me being here in this industry. That [Playing Whitney] would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do, because I would really want to pull it off. That’s a huge, huge role, and whoever does it has to do a good job.”
She’s gearing up right now for the release of Battleship where she’s receiving plenty of praise for her efforts in her first feature film; not to mention it’s a huge Summer blockbuster.
