Bruno Mars was honored as one of TIME‘s most influential people in the world at the TIME 100 gala at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City on Tuesday (April 26). The fedora-clad crooner, who made the magazine’s annual list along with President Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Justin Bieber, performed hits from his platinum-certifieddebut Doo-Wops & Hooligans before a roomful of VIPs including Carmelo Anthony, Martha Stewart, and Kerry Washington, later kicking back to watch fellow honoree Sting perform.
