Christmas time doesn’t typically coincide with hip hop, although the R&B artists of today have been bringing back the soulful Christmas jams. Justin Bieber is also atop the list of the latest
Christmas album releases, but he actually hit the stage earlier in the weekend for Power 106′s “Cali Christmas” showing in Los Angeles with fellow Canadian and Young Money artist Drake.The two performed Drake’s popular hit and Bieber’s commonly known cover song “Trust Issues” together, while Drake spoke highly of the pop superstar. “One of the most talented musicians I know. I brought Justin Bieber out to do some gangsta s–t.” When Justin covered the track previously, Drizzy was blown away; his only criticism being that he wanted Bieber to spit some of the curse words.
While at the same concert Friday December 16th, Drake also let the left coast know that he would be working with Bieber on his next album, which will further cross promote the Biebs into the hip hop genre. If there are some great Drizzy features and hard beats, it’s likely that Drake fans will shift towards Bieber– at least for one album.
