Nigeria’s ex international jailed for hard drugs

Erstwhile Nigerian player, Felix Okafor has been jailed for being in possession of hard drugs in the United States of America. Okafor was arrested last Wednesday after a raid on his shop (Flying Eagles) which is located on the North Wall Street, at North Johnson in Benson, Johnson county, North Carolina.
The NationSport gathered from the WTSB NEWS that a joint 10-month operation led up to last Wednesday's raid. Okafor was arrested on a total of 53 criminal charges ranging from drug trafficking, maintaining or selling drugs within 1000 feet of a school and possession of a non-tax paid alcohol. He was confined in the Johnston country jail under a $2m bond (N.4b )
Authorities alleged that the store owner Felix Okafor, 50 of Wendell was using the business to sell heroin, marijuana and moonshine as well as operating illegal gaming machines.
Narcotics Captain AC. Fish said officers conducted 10 undercover drug buys of heroin and prescription pills in the last 10 months before Wednesday  raid. A large amount  of cash was seized  including approximately $5,000 found in a grease trap. A fire arm was found even in the popcorn machine. Heroin was found in the cash register, one-half pound of suspected  marijuana was found in the kitchen area  abd an assault pistol  with a 32 round  magazine. Captain Fish told WTSB NEWS. that  Okafor had the business  set up to look like a store but it was nothing more than a front for selling drugs. Captain Fish said the coolers shelves were stocked  with food and drinks, however, some of the food had expired in 2007 and the coolers were not working.
