sources freshlikedougie.com Dr. Dre‘s long awaited Detox album may be pushed back for
what feels like indefinitely, but the West Coast rapper and producer has clearly got things other than music notes on his mind. He’s inked a deal with New Line Cinema (years ago) to work on a scary film, and it looks like “Thaw” is up first on the chopping block.
Apparently, the plot revolves around a mysteriously ancient evil power that emerges from melting ice caps in Yukon, Canada. Sounds… scary. Dre will be releasing the project through his Crucial Films production company, set up in a 2007 deal along with the aforementioned New Line Cinema.
Dre has made acting cameos previously, and this time is a little bit different since he will be playing the role of co-producer on this flick. His Crucial Films partner, Daniel, came up with the idea previously, and now that the movie is in the works perhaps there will be a resurgence of Dre music to go along with it.
