sources freshlikedougie.com Drizzy is an emotional guy, and his feelings pour out into his music.
It’s no secret, as he’s been labeled an “emo” rapper before– and he’s even touched on his relationship with his Dad, Dennis Graham.
In his latest GQ issue Drizzy explains his current dynamic with his father sharing that they have more of a friendship than anything, and he doesn’t really expect a whole lot else from his Dad; who looks to be more supportive of him these days than he was previously (you certainly see him around more).
Drake shares on being “cool” with his Pops:
“Me and my dad are friends. We’re cool. I’ll never be disappointed again, because I don’t expect anything anymore from him. I just let him exist, and that’s how we get along. We laugh. We have drinks together. But I spent too many nights looking by the window, seeing if the car was going to pull up. And the car never came.”
It sounds like he’s healed from the wounds of his past, although he’s clearly harboring a bit of resentment from the broken promises and missed times together.
