Celebrity animated movies have been a popular thing in the past 5 plus years, and there’s another one slated to come out a little less than a year from now with an all new star studded
cast. The movie “Epic” has Beyoncé as just one of the super stars ready to take the animated world by storm.
The premise of the flick is based on a young girl who is battling what seems like a strange fight between good and evil in a secret universe which happens to parallel the real world in a way that ultimately saves both worlds real and magical. Beyoncé has snagged the role of “Queen Tara” which isn’t surprising in the least bit.
So far the movie is set to open on May 24th of 2013, and the upcoming July Comic Con is already promoting the latest celebrity casted animated film. Also joining the forces of Bey on this one are Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried and Steven Tyler.
It will be interesting to see what other kid friendly projects Beyoncé devotes herself to now that she and her hubby Jay-Z are first time parents. We already know that she’s got a couple of projects in the works for this year– perhaps there are more Blue Ivy related things going on, too.
