The Heat and the Spurs weren’t the only ones making moves during Game 5 of the NBA Finals. In a commercial for Samsung Mobile, Jay-Z announced that his new album Magna Carta Holy Grail will arrive on July 4.
Through his partnership with the company, 1 million Samsung Galaxy fans will be able to download the app on June 24 and get the album for free on July 4, three days before the rest of the world does on July 7. In the three-minute spot, the Roc Nation mogul can be seen working on new music with Rick Rubin, Timbaland, Pharrell, and Swizz Beatz.
“Pretty much the object of this album is this duality of how do you navigate your way through this whole thing, through success, through failures, through all this, and remain yourself?” explained Mr. Carter. See his big announcement below.
