MTNLoudinNaija concert, PH

loud in naija
MTN further reinforced its position as the no1 Youth and music brand in Nigeria again, last weekend, when the #MTNLoudinNaija train hit the Garden City of PH for another great night of musical showmanship and artistry. Parading super stars like Davido, KCEE, D’Prince, Chidinma, Praiz, Wacomzy, Sound Sultan, iMike, Harrysong and others, the Civic Centre in Port Harcourt was bursting with over 5,000 youths and adult fun-seekers, who were thrilled all-night-long.

Having recorded an overwhelming attendance at the Ibadan show, the concert in Port Harcourt was expected to be a bang  and it lived up to its billing. Though all the artistes justified their current high rating in the industry, the most prominent of the pack were Davido, KCEE, Mike and Harrisong. Davido was energetic and his stage presence, unequalled. Throwing himself into the excited crowd, at certain times, the ‘Omo-baba-olowo’ crooner endeared himself to the Garden City audience.

Also, KCEE who’s latest single, Pullover, is already on the lips of every music lover in Nigeria and beyond, had an exceptional night. Worthy of note is the fact that he already has over a million caller tunez download just about 3 weeks into his album launch. After his performance, he took time to reward his fans who got the design of his album’s jacket right, with prizes such as ipads and iphones; and the winner going home with an additional $3,000.

Imike as usual, had a fantastic performance. His precision, dexterity and camouflaged dancers pumped up the crowd and took them to another level of excitement. Perhaps, the surprise performance of the night was Harrisong, a home-grown multi-talented individual, blew the crowd with his electrifying voice and stage presence. He’s sure a star waiting to exhale.

Miss ‘Kedike’ Chidinma was also on song. As the only female act of the night, she proved her worth amongst the guys and truly showed why she can beat her chest and say “e mi ni baller”. Praiz, Sound Sultan, Ayo, D’Prince and Wacomzy completed the list of star artistes who graced the stage.

The concert also recorded a huge success on the digital front. MTN recorded an additional 3,000 followers to its Twitter account followers and over 6,000 followers on Facebook. The show also had over 8 million impressions and the hash tag #MTNLoudinNaija trended as no1 all through the night
