HIs Eddie Murphy Planning an SNL Surprise?

Live from New York, it's…Eddie Murphy? Could be, if the rumors that the star will be making a guest appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend are true. According to the New York Post, "work is going on behind the scenes" for the actor to drop in on host Ben Stiller — his co-star in the upcoming film Tower Heist — for a cameo appearance. That would mark Murphy's first SNL appearance since he left the show in 1984. Murphy, who was on the sketch comedy show for four seasons, is arguably the brightest star to come from the SNL galaxy. Since getting his big break on the series, he has starred in over 40 feature films and snagged an Oscar nomination for his supporting role in 2006's Dreamgirls. But a rumored feud with SNL producer Lorne Michaels — sparked, according to EW.com, by some disrespectful comments made in 1995 by David Spade about Murphy's "sagging movie career" — has kept him from coming back to the show. The alum was even a no-show at SNL's 25th anniversary party in 1999.
But times have changed, and Murphy has both a new film and hosting gig at the Oscars to promote, so a return to his comedy roots would make sense. The actor's reps, however, deny the rumors, claiming “Mr. Murphy is not planning on returning to Saturday Night Live at this time. Perhaps at some time in the future.
For those of us who have been waiting patiently since the 1990s for a true Eddie Murphy comeback, lets hope the future is now.

Tupac’s Family Threatens Lawsuit Over Sex Tape

Now that there is a bidding war over the sale of the Tupac Shakur sex tape, the rapper’s family is stepping up to make sure no one reaps a profit from the scandalous video.

According to TMZ, a spokesperson for Pac’s estate has confirmed that the family is ready to take legal action against anyone who sells the 5-minute video of the rapper receiving oral sex.
We will sue anyone who tries to sell a Tupac tape,” said the rep.
Pac’s mother Afeni Shakur purportedly called a team of lawyers into action, warning them that, “we will no allow someone to put it [the sex tape] out. The rep revealed that a private investigation is underway to identify the person in possession of the tape. The family currently suspects it maybe one of the many male companions in the video or the female who serviced the rapper.

Denzel Washington Donates Millions, Hires Phylicia Rashad

New York City’s Fordham University has undoubtedly produced greats. Aside from the legendary football coach Vince Lombardi, Denzel Washington also counts himself as alumni. The Washington Post says of the $2.25 million the two-time Oscar winner donated, $2 million is going toward the Denzel Washington Chair in Theatre, Phylicia Rashad. The New York Times notes the director of Fordham’s theater program would not disclose a salary. The Cosby Show” mom and Tony Award winner, who starred in Langston Hughes’s A Raisin in the Sun with Sean Combs, Audra McDonald and Sanaa Lathan will step into the new role this fall. Her Tony win for A Raisin in the Sun made her the first African-American actress to win the award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play. Washington won for his leading role in August Wilson’s Fences. As this is a new partnership, Rashad is the first person to hold this position. Following up on a string of sassy, radio-friendly hits, "Fireball" features Nicki Minaj and finds the 10-year-old rapper-singer brushing her shoulders off over a headnodic beat.

Lady Gaga Biopic Coming Soon

Little Monsters everywhere, there are reports a TV film based on Lady Gaga’s life and her rise to fame will be chronicled in a Lifetime movie. According to the Los Angeles Times, the biopic is based on the 2010 book, Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga by Maureen Callahan. Producers have yet to cast their Lady and Gaga reportedly has no involvement with the film. Idolator.com says the film is tentatively called Fame Monster. White dress, black tux, fancy dinner, smiling couple — the pics of Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose that hit the Web earlier this week certainly had all the ingredients of a wedding. Multiple blogs said that the pair had gotten married, and who could blame them? But Wiz is insisting that the pictures are just pictures, and that the couple isn't married — yet. Investigator On Michael Jackson Case Admits Making Mistakes

While collecting medicine and other evidence from the King of Pop’s bedroom after he died, investigator Elissa Fleak was caught various times by the prosecutor in contradictory statements.

Updating information in the People vs. Conrad Murray case, The Associated Press reports Fleak said she found a bottle of medicine on the floor that was actually photographed and shown on a nightstand. They also had images showing an IV pole and saline bag in two different places.
When asked if she conducted a perfect investigation or ever conducted a perfect one, investigator Fleak replied “no.” The AP is notes she says no investigation is perfect.
Fleak was assigned to MJ’s case June 25, 2009 the day he died.

Tupac Sex Tape Photos Released

The proof is in the pictures. For those that questioned the validity of a reported sex tape featuring rap icon Tupac Shakur, TMZ has uncovered photographic evidence of the explicit encounter.

As TMZ previously reported, the pictures show Pac receiving oral sex from a woman as he holds a drink in his right hand and a blunt in the other. The celebrity news website was able to view the video and they deduced that an unreleased Tupac song is playing in the background.
During the five-minute sex session the “I Get Around” rapper even takes a moment to chop it up with rap associate Money B of Digital Underground fame, as the woman performs the sex act. Pac is even seen laughing with other members of his crew in the room.
The exclusive tape, which was shot in 1991, has already sparked a bidding war among two porn companies who are offering six-figure payouts.

Snoop Dogg Cosigns Soulja Boy Movie

Snoop Dogg hasn’t always approved of Soulja Boy (he once called him a “bubble gum rapper”), but in recent years he changed his opinion, apologizing for “hating on him.” He even featured the young rapper on his song “Pronto” in 2009. Now he has taken his support a step further with an appearance in Soulja Boy The Movie. Helmed by Academy Award nominated director Peter Spirer (Notorious B.I.G. Bigger than Life and Tupac Shakur: Thug Angel), the DVD documentary of the enterprising rapper’s rise is slated for an October 18th release.

Common to Star in AMC Western

Common is adding yet another acting credit to his résumé. He will star in Hell on Wheels, a period drama slated to air on AMC. The show centers around the story of a Confederate soldier seeking revenge on the Union soldiers who killed his wife. “It’s about the building of the Transcontinental Railroad, so it takes place in 1865 and I get to play a freed slave,” Common said in an interview on Los Angeles' Power 106. “It’s kind of like a Western, but there’s all these issues going on of today.... I actually had to audition to go through the process, but it was well worth it.”

Snoop Dogg Sitcom Picked Up By NBC

We’ve previously reported that Snoop Dogg was working with Warner Brothers to develop a sitcom. Now, Deadline.com is reporting that NBC has come to a script agreement for the show, with Snoop Dogg in the starring role. Industry veteran Don Reo (co-creator of My Wife And Kids, and producer on Two And A Half Men) will executive produce, and Snoop and Ted Chung will produce. Snoop will play the father on the family friendly show.

50 Cent Signs on for The Pursuit

Looks like Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson continues his upward climb in Hollywood, signing on to headline and produce his next feature film, The Pursuit.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, this crime thriller, written by Matt Johnson, centers on a cop (Jackson) and criminal who “inadvertently team up to track down an escaped bank robber as each has his own personal vendetta against the man. Meanwhile, a determined US Marshall hunts the men to prevent them from killing the convict and instead ensure that he is brought to justice the proper way."
Jackson, via his Cheetah Films, is producing The Pursuit in conjunction with Emmett/Furla Films. Director Jesse Terrero (Soul Plane) has signed on to helm the picture. In fact, Terrero, who directed Jackson’s 2010 crime thriller Gun, recently signed a three-picture directing deal with the producers.
The film will be distributed by Lionsgate and will start shooting in Louisiana in February 2012.

Chris Brown Slams Homosexual Allegations

Chris Brown isn’t too happy with recent allegations than he had a sexual affair with an unknown R&B singer, who goes by the name Martyn.
The rumors began swirling after gossip website Bossip.com released alleged photographic evidence of conversations between Brown and Martyn, which suggested that they had an intimate relationship. Brown’s peers Trey Songz and Omarion were also tangled in the bizarre conversations.
Taking to his Twitter, Brown dubbed Martyn a fame chaser and hints about a potential lawsuit.

Diddy Apologizes for Slur-Laden Club Rant

Diddy is apologizing for lashing out at a club-goer this past weekend at a BET Hip Hop Awards after-party.

As previously reported, Diddy, who was co-hosting a party at Compound nightclub on Saturday with a just-released T.I., flipped out when he saw a man in the crowd drinking Grey Goose instead of Puff-endorsed Ciroc. Footage of the incident shows an amped-up Diddy screaming obscenities, including "f----t" and "n----r," and throwing a drink into the crowd—until T.I. told him to chill out.
Diddy took to his Twitter page early this morning and apologized for his actions over the weekend in a series of messages: "I'm a child [of] God and I should be better no matter what somone [sic] says to me. I'm sorry for the ignorant way I repesented [sic] myself and us," he wrote. "I have backslid and regressed. Forgive me for my ignorance. Pray for me pls. I know better and I am better."
He continued: "I have a responibility [sic] that I promise I will live up to. And I'm more dissapointed [sic] in myself than you know. I will humble myself and learn... Bottom line is I'm sorry to all! Pls find it in your heart to accept my apology. I will do better and be greater and a source of positivity!"
TMZ tracked down the man Diddy was attacking, Ricky Parker, who said he felt "humiliated and disrespected." Parker was incredulous that Diddy flipped out just because he was drinking Grey Goose. "You won't ever hear me support him from this moment forward," Parker said.

Tyrese Won’t Back Down From Radio Station Comments

Last week, while in town for a meet and greet at the University of Delaware to promote his self-help book, How to Get Out of Your Own Way, singer, actor and author Tyrese Gibson stopped by a local elementary school to surprise a group of youngsters for their outstanding academic achievement. The school visit was part of Communities in Schools, an organization whose mission is to decrease the dropout rate in urban neighborhoods, of which the Watts, California, native is a member.
When the Fast Five star arrived after a two-hour drive from Washington D.C., he wanted to grab a caffeinated beverage at a store across the street from the school. What he discovered was a liquor store, one which sold only hard liquor. Tyrese told BET.com in an exclusive interview that seeing this store directly across the street deeply troubled him, saying, “I think the personalities and the energy that a liquor bank attracts should not be that close to innocent kids.”
So, when Gibson stopped by KISS 101.7 to promote his new album, Open Invitation, he couldn’t help but speak on the incident he just experienced. He says his comments were no rant, it was in fact genuine concern, telling listeners, “I think this whole thing of having liquor banks directly across the street from schools, ain’t cool man.” The station’s program director thought that Tyrese’s tone was condescending to listeners and asked that he vacate the building and two days later said that the singer’s music, once in heavy rotation, would be banned until he gave an on-air apology.
But Gibson, who “lost his childhood” to his mother’s alcohol abuse — she’s been sober for four years now — says, “I’m not going to apologize.” He goes on to say, “And I don’t care that they’re not playing my music, my position will never change.”
Always a man of his word, Tyrese is also promising fans that his new album is his greatest yet. Working with new songwriters and producers, the singer says he had 13 people working around the clock for three weeks in his Los Angeles area home recording the record. Madonna in Talks to Perform at Super Bowl

Madonna may be bringing some girl power to next year’s Super Bowl XLVI.

The buzz coming out of entertainment circles is that the pop icon is in talks with the NFL to headline the halftime show of next year’s big game in Indianapolis.

Neither Madonna’s reps nor the NFL has released an official statement confirming or denying the possibility. Rumor has it that the league approached the “Like a Virgin” singer in 1998 to perform at that year’s Super Bowl XXXIII in Miami but the two sides could not come to an agreement.

Madonna would join the Black Eyed Peas, Beyoncé and Janet Jackson as past performers on the big stage.

Danny Glover, Kimberly Elise Set to Star in Upcoming TV Movie

It’s always refreshing to be reminded that Blacks occupied and contributed to the folklore of the Old West. And soon two very prominent actors will be back in the saddle on a small screen near you.

Emmy Award nominee Danny Glover and For Colored Girls star Kimberly Elise are currently filming the Western television movie Hannah’s Law on location in Calgary, Alberta. Glover stars in the period piece as Isom Dart while Elise will portray Stagecoach Mary; their characters will be joined by such legendary lawman as Wyatt Earp and gunfighter Doc Holliday.
Hannah’s Law is the story of a frontier town run by crime and corruption, until a heroine named Hannah (Sara Canning) demands justice. Glover’s character, Isom, is a surrogate father figure to Hannah in a film that also stars Billy Zane, Greystone Holt, Ryan Kennedy and John Pyper-Ferguson.
The movie is set to premiere on the Hallmark Channel in 2012.

Two porn sites are reportedly in a bidding war over the rights to rapper Tupac Shakur's sex tape. According to TMZ.com, one site has made a $150,000 offer, but the person in possession of the tape is holding out for more money. Neither site has seen the footage themselves and the second bidder says they can beat the current amount if they can screen the tape first.

The tape was shot in 1991 and features Tupac, whose career was just beginning to take off, smoking marijuana, drinking and receiving oral sex from a woman during a party with members of rap group Digital Underground.

Since Yul Edochie,son of veteran actor, Pete Edochie came into the movie scene few years ago, much has not been heard about his private life. Though he now flaunts his marital status.
This handsome actor has been romantically linked with a lot of ladies, including several Nollywood actresses, at different times. First, it was with Tonto Dike and later, Nuella Njubuigbo.
His affair with Nuella, in particular which made a lot of headlines when he posted photographs he took with her on Facebook and went further to make a romantic comment about her, fueling speculations and talks that they were in love, not knowing he was happily married.
It was at the height of the heat generated by the photograph and his comment on Nuella that he made it known to all that he’s married and as a matter of fact, is a family man to the core.
After this revelation, he posted his picture with his wife’s on facebook, and wrote on his marital status, ”Married”.
But in recent times, Yul, who is fast gaining ground in Nollywood has been stepping out in grand style with his beautiful wife, Mary, at different events. The couple was first spotted at Uche Jombo’s movie premiere, ”Damage” at Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
Again, they were at the 3rd City People Entertainment Awards held at HNK Event Centre, Lekki, Nigeria.
Mary Yul Edochie, an IT Consultant, though not a known face like her husband, she is not lacking in good looks. Her striking beauty accounted for the rush towards her and Yul by photographers as they both entered the venue of the award.
It is an understatement saying the paparazzi had a field day with the couple. Mary, not used to kleiglights and paparazzi was very shy and tried to shield away from the cameras, but this was an impossible task as the photographers practically mobbed them.
