With a name like NAME you have to wonder; what is this guy thinking? In response, he answers with a quiet smile; “I think I’m the identity…the sound of a whole new generation. It’s all in the Name”. And after listening to this self-styled ‘R & B answer to Dagrin’, you can’t help but agree.
Born Lanre Adeyemi, the graduate of Engineering from the University of Ado-Ekiti has been working at his song-writing skills for a while, preferring to be a rapper. After meeting some interesting individuals in 2005 convinced him that singing was his strength, he began to focus more on his R & B craft. Contributing back-up vocals and lyrics to a couple of acts, he hooked up with producer Machyld in 2010 to start work on his debut mixtape; Call Me Name. Debuting the single ‘Aya Mi’ on twitter to several downloads, he decided to release the single officially with a side b ‘Baby Girl part II’ featuring rapper GQ. Slated for a second-quarter 2011 release, Call Me Name is the ambitious debut to an illustrious career. Get his name right.

Born Aboje Robert Omoha popularly known by his stage name Fly MC, is a Nigerian rapper-songwriter. Fly MC was born in Benue State, Nigeria but grew up in the federal capital territory of Abuja. Fly MC‘s style was largely shaped by listening to compelling artists such as Nas, Naughty by Nature, and his older brother, Victor Omoha aka Phylosophy, better known with the 2002 underground hip hop group “The Mic Checkers. Phylosophy currently has a mixtape out called “The Move On”.

I had committed to writing a jubilee song for Nigeria. I was moved to hone in on my message on December 31, 2010 when we were shocked by the Abuja bombings. In my view, the bombings are a metaphor of the hopelessness and impending tragedy that may lie ahead if we do not become more engaged in building the country we desire. I realize that the crisis in the nation is beyond the political. We each need to personalize Project Nigeria and take a stand for Nigeria NOW. And so, the first lines of the song are about just how important we are as a generation at this time in our history. My hope is that as you listen to this song, you are stirred and realize that the future that we dream of is not way ahead of us. By looking within NOW ,we draw in that future. One action. One person at a time. We must embrace the moment. I leave you with the words of my friend,Fela Durotoye: “Deliver the future: We can. We must. We will.”

Both songs were written and produced by Oscar Heman Ackah, same producer behind RETTA’s Kolo For You. Sound Sultan heard JANKOLIKO and fell totally in love with the message, and this superb collaboration was conceived.
Chidinma is also working with a crack team of producers and songwriters including Cobhams Asuquo, Tee Y Mix, Jay Martins, Tha Suspect, eldee the Don,Omolara Ayodele and of course Oscar Heman Ackah. The videos for the songs are expected out in a few weeks. She is currently being managed by The Goretti Company.

Young Vim the name, HoodAfricanz the game. Young Vim has been putting it down since 2005, but has been singing since the first grade. Always in talent shows – singing and dancing, winning most of them as well, Young Vim – a Ghanaian native, joined the drama club as a young boy which gave more chances to show off his love for music and dancing. In grammar school Young Vim won a talent show with “The Tong Songs, which made him know as one of the best dancer and singer around the northside of Chicago, and this was before the rap skills landed.
In high school Young became a big fan of “Cash Money Records”, and knew almost all the songs CMB made from head to toe. Vim started to write his own raps and at the same time was one of lead singers in his church, he tried to make beats by beating the tables at lunch for others to rap, and man, he was good at it too. But he knew he was better than all of them, but he took his time to study the way he was going to bring himself out.
After high school Young Vim started DJing and still singin while brushing up on his rap skills, while in collage. After college, is when he started to take the rap game head on, about the same time he came across MoBeatz and that’s when the game started. MoBeatz make the beatz and Young Vim put a flow to it, and now they make hits together.
