sources freshlikedougie.com John Legend is always working on something new, and his latest
project is one that is a new idea altogether– not just a cheesy spin off of another already popular show. The newly engaged singer has been promoting a series concept to Showtime’s network for a music based show that will mix and match up different artists and genres of music.

Legend has mass appeal and caters toward crowds of all ages, ethnicities and musical tastes; so he is a very appropriate choice to stay as the main face of the show. The pilot episode is currently deemed as a “special” but it’s been reported that Showtime is already wanting to shoot a second episode before the Grammys this Sunday and turn Legend’s idea into a new series.

The episode to air soon features Faith Hill and B.o.B. where the two speak and interview individually before mashing up with John Legend on the piano for their own rendition of an old school classic, “Son of A Preacher Man.”

The show wrapped with a live rendition of “Son of a Preacher Man” with Legend on piano, Hill on lead vocals, and an original rap written and performed by B.o.B. Producers are already working on a second installment of the program, eyed to shoot before next week’s Grammy Awards.
