comeback year will be in 2012. She won’t forego the road to album sales alone– her longtime friend and producer Timbaland will also be releasing a new solo project in 2012, too.
Timbaland made a statement regarding the duo’s separate albums, noting that they would both be debuting projects in June of this year. He told MTV that they’re doing it all purposely “Right now, we’re preparing to get both our videos, our first singles, shot kinda at the same time. We want to do it as a movement and spontaneously.”
Block Party is Missy’s 7th album to date and her first in 7 years, while Timb’s upcoming LP will be the follow up to his Shock Value II work. Missy has been battling Graves disease for a long time now, and she’s ramping back up by working as a feature artist, producer, and song writer.
