producers in past times single handedly always took the complete role of making a movie; scripting, producing, and directing. The cost was minimal and manageable.
But with evolution overtime and the increased in spending by the production core in creating a movie, things have changed and more assigned roles are unique to different personnel.
The involvement of the past producers began to wane, with the movie stars themselves taking on the mantle of producing and directing movies as a full time business. Uche Jombo was among the early pacesetters in this role and had a few others including Ini Edo, Monalisa Chinda, Van Vicker and company all follow suit.
And they have inched it even further with collaborative efforts between and amongst two or more to increase their financial clout and scalability.
