Nicki Minaj has been receiving a lot of criticism from some Democrats for her lyrics in a song that seemed to indicate she was endorsing Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
The rapper who has become famous for her many cartoonish voices and characters seems relieved to have the speculation come to an end. As we reported earlier today, President Obama appeared on Florida radio station Power953 this morning and said he thought the line was just Nicki playing one of her many characters and not an actual endorsement of Romney.
I'm not sure that's actually what happened," Obama said. "I think she had a song on there. A little rap that said that. But, she likes to play different characters. So I don’t know what’s going on there.”
