Genevieve Nnaji look alike finally speaks up
When news broke about Genevieve Nnaji’s supposed daughter sighted in public for the first time, there was a clamor to catch a glimpse of hidden princess. The initial reaction to many who saw the picture had no doubts in mind that it was Genevieve’s daughter for the sheer resemblance the two had, only to later turn out later that it was rather a twitter follower turned friend and not Genevieve real daughter who still remains at large.
So although the air was cleared and Genevieve issued a statement about her twitter friend, there has been a subtle quest to find out more about this mysterious friend, whether she possesses similar qualities as Genevieve and probably consider jumping into the acting fray. It so happened that the beauty queen (Ms Nengi Warikoko) is a level 400 student of linguistics and communications at the University of Port Harcourt Nigeria, and serves as the current Miss Tourism for Silverbird’s Most Beautiful Girl (MBGN)category. And Nengi had this to say:
“Let me state here that I’m not Genevieve’s daughter nor am I related to her. I met Genevieve Nnaji the first time at an event we were both invited to in Abuja. Before then she is one of the women I love and respect a lot. In fact I’m one of her biggest fans.
Although I respect and love her, I don’t see myself becoming an actress, but who knows what may happen tomorrow? For now, I am content with getting a Master degree in communication arts or get a degree in law.”
Lady Gaga Responds to Japan Bracelet Lawsuit
Lady Gaga is out to prove that she is not the "monster" a Michigan-based law firm is trying to make her out to be. According to MTV, Lady Gaga's publicist released a statement defending the award-winning star from claims made by 1-800-LAWFIRM. A recently filed suit against the singer claims that, after promising that all proceeds from her Japan bracelets would go to the earthquake relief efforts, Gaga benefitted from charging fans a $3.99 shipping fee and unnecessary sales tax on the $5 bracelets. In a tweet posted by Lady Gaga on the day of the quake, she wrote: "I designed a Japan Prayer Bracelet. Buy It/Donate her and ALL proceeds will go to Tsunami Relief Efforts. Go Monsters." However, Ari Kresh-an attorney at the firm-claims that Japanese victims received a meager amount of the funds collected. In Gaga's defense, her spokesperson stated: "This misguided lawsuit is without merit and unfortunately takes attention away from the kind deeds of the fans around the world who are supporting the people of Japan. The entire $5 donation made with the purchase of each bracelet is going to support the disaster relief. No profit is being made on shipping costs. Sales tax charges were made in accordance with local legal requirements. Lady Gaga has personally pledged her own funds to this cause and continues to support the victims of the disaster." Despite Gaga's defense, the firm is pursuing a class-action suit and fighting for possible refunds for her bracelet-buying fans.

Erykah Badu Becomes DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown on
Add DJ to the list of things that Erykah Badu can do. Correction-for her latest project, Badu will go by the name DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown, and release a mixtape that she categorizes in the dance realm.
Back in December, Badu came from behind her microphone and took to the turntables, introducing her alter ego, DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown, at a party in her hometown of Dallas. Now, she's ready to take her deejaying to the next level with a new mixtape. According to allhiphop.com, Badu promises that her mixtape will "melt any DJ's face off." The stage was set for MTN Link Nite on Saturday June 25th at the aptly located Constantial Hotel, Benin City, Edo State.
The event had in attendance the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, the Chairman of Oredo LGA, State Government executives and the top brass of the Edo State business community.
The interactive session was highly intellectual with questions ranging from finance to personal and business development being asked by members of the audience. These questions were ably answered by the discussants- Mr. Frank Evbuomwan (Commissioner for Works-Edo State), Mr. Tony Imadojemu (UBA branch manager), Naeto C and Mr. Osaze Ebueku- Segment Manager-Professionals MTN.
The MC- Basorge Tariah Jnr, an accomplished MC and comedian was in his elements at the event, regaling the audience with witty jokes, ensuring the purpose of the event (networking) was achieved. Superlative performances by MTN prodigy- Inyanya and Naeto C- the only MC with an Ms.c brought the audience to their feet, dancing and taking pictures and generally having a wonderful time courtesy of MTN, the number one network.
The idea behind the MTN Link Nite was sustained in its usual concept, creating networking opportunities among professionals and entrepreneurs in exciting and unusual ways, providing motivation for the target audience.
