Queen Latifah may be gearing up for her most challenging role yet...motherhood!
The rapper turned all-around mogul revealed on The View that becoming a mom may not be too far off, with adoption being her chosen path.
"I'm actually kind of working on that," Latifah told co-host Barbara Walters. "I just always wanted to bring a child home."
"I'm totally serious," the Ice Age 4: Continental Drift star emphasized to Walters. "So if you got a kid that you don't ... just give me a year – let me set up camp and send me the kid. But no, no [I'm] totally [serious about adopting]."
Latifah's career is hotter than ever these days, with a full slate of films and television programs in the works at her Miami-based Flavor Unit Studios and her own talk show on the horizon. But that doesn't seem to stop the actress, who has been open about her desire to adopt a child, from making her dreams of a family into a reality.
While a rep for the star tells People there's "nothing new to report" on the matter, what Latifah wants, Latifah usually gets. So perhaps we'll see the rap-tress pushing a stroller soon enough!
